^Learning more and more about emergence - simplicity in the
  universe is the odd exception, not the rule. Emergence is: small
  amounts of something don't do it. But get a few more of
  something together, and something new emerges that a single or a
  few won't do. Like mob mentality. The oddness of people in
  groups. Birds flying in a V formation. It happens at the
  subatomic level too, explaining that nature isn't RANDOM per se,
  but behaves differently in numbers than you can see when its
  alone. Like people. Like fish (one fish vs a school of fish). A
  gust of wind vs a hurricane. etc.^
