^This is what I grew up on, and I think it greatly influenced my
sense of humor: You Can't Do That On Television. Canada, you do
it (comedy) and you do it well. See your invasion of the USA
started with us as children. Another kids' comedy that was along
the same lines was "All That!" later on, although good sketch
comedies are rare in adult or teen TV - the Carol Burnett Show
being, to me, the ultimate standard, which was not Canadian and
Monty Python, which is not Canadian but could have been. The
warning for 5 + under here is due to the Monty Pythonesque
intro, which features cartoonized kids getting ground into
sausage. Ahh, Canada. You can't do that on television - but you
did. And we ate it up.^
