Oh very true but consider what is the fundamental nature of
  music? It's gaps. It's the gap between the jump that makes the
  rhythm. Even in drone music - even a pure sine wave - has peaks
  and troughs. There are gaps. That is an extreme example as most
  people would not consider a pure sine way to be music yet it is.
  At the other extreme is noise. Lots of frequency gaps in noise.
  Music can be measured in the gaps between the same randomized
  tones and any simultaneous tones would be chords of a kind.
  Emissions of a pulsar in radio waves: that is music. There are
  gaps that are visual as well. Can you see the direction I'm
  taking?
