I've been on a mostly TV-free existence for a few years, in my
  quest to "figure it all out", for the 22 months or so.

  But when my mother told me about the Brian Williams thing, which
  she recorded on her DVR to show me (she knew I'd be interested),
  I saw a blurb of it.

  I chuckled. I said, "If someone wanted him toppled and set the
  machinery in motion for it to happen, he won't be back. If this
  is genuine, he'll lay low for a little bit then he'll be back.
  Infamy and fame are much the same."

  She disagreed entirely with me, and she's probably right to do
  so. Still, I find the whole thing funny.
