Oh! I believe I understand. Ok. Yeah, well, is that a problem in
  America? Not for the majority.

  Hence my confusion.
Among celebrities, they sue each other over being called names.
  Libel I think?
  Is that what you mean?
Or a celebrity using a word that's not considered appropriate?
I've seen that n the news, yes.
Among regular people though? I don't think it's as big of a
  deal.
Celebrities live on their own planet it seems and they make all
the world news. But the stuff that happens in day-to-day life is
nothing like that stuff. If you're in a position of authority,
you are supposed to be respectful of those under your charge.
The rules of what is considered respectful/disrespectful changes
  and morphs with the times.
Perhaps that's an areas that regular citizens have to concern
themselves with not-saying the "wrong thing" - if they are in
  positions of authority over others.

But in my experience, it seems that people say what they feel
like. Arguments are commonplace, sometimes over the most
  ridiculous things. That's pretty universal.
Generally speaking though, there's a strong freedom of speech
  among citizenry.
