Erek - very true - you can see that in superconductor fluids -
  the spinning beaker. I love this one: you can spin the beaker
  but the fluid stays absolutely still. The nuclei of the atoms
  are still moving ,but the electrons have almost totally stopped.
  Dan - bingo - that's exactly the thing I thunk - anything
  "travelling at the speed of light" REALLY isn't moving at all -
  it's sitting still (f...rom its perspective) - there is no
  space, there is no time for it - its lifespan is over just as it
  begun. But we slow creatures get to see "slices of time",
  watching the universe unfold in extremely slow motion - rather
  like how houseflies must view us - statues they keep landing on
  over, and over, and over again, in the EXACT same spot... "
