  That's the one I worked with a lot at the time. Found an old
  Usenet post from 2/7/1993 - Wrote a "Wave to Tandy .SND format"
  converter. Since all of the digitized sound files were raw
  8-bit, I was able to get it convert ANY digitized 8-bit snd to
  the Tandy's proprietary format simply by adding a header. The
  user just heard a TINY bit of 'noise' at the 1st couple of
  milliseconds, which could easily be trimmed off.
