You have my complete sympathies. This isn't the stuff we were
promised as kids but it's the reality we were handed. Apologies
for the preaching earlier - again, easy for me sitting on this
chair. I thought about politics then I realized I can't get up
on stage without getting the willies, and I'd get eaten alive in
the dog-eat-dog political world. I think though we're probably
going to reach a point where "basic minimum income" might have
to be a reality: job creation is happening but it's all at
levels that can't even support individuals and certainly not
families. Small businesses don't make the profit margins to
support higher wages either. Large businesses are skirting
paying taxes and the weight is felt by individuals, heads of
households and small business owners instead. That tax money is
going into the pockets of politicians to play with and there's
nothing we can do. Nothing. Death and taxes (and the wasteful
politicians to go with it) will always be with us, whether
ancient Rome, today or 1000 years into the future. You have
every right to be fighting mad, Scott.
