You have my complete sympathies. This isn't the stuff we were
  promised as kids but it's the reality we were handed. Apologies
  for the preaching earlier - again, easy for me sitting on this
  chair. I thought about politics then I realized I can't get up
  on stage without getting the willies, and I'd get eaten alive in
  the dog-eat-dog political world. I think though we're probably
  going to reach a point where "basic minimum income" might have
  to be a reality: job creation is happening but it's all at
  levels that can't even support individuals and certainly not
  families. Small businesses don't make the profit margins to
  support higher wages either. Large businesses are skirting
  paying taxes and the weight is felt by individuals, heads of
  households and small business owners instead. That tax money is
  going into the pockets of politicians to play with and there's
  nothing we can do. Nothing. Death and taxes (and the wasteful
  politicians to go with it) will always be with us, whether
  ancient Rome, today or 1000 years into the future. You have
  every right to be fighting mad, Scott.
