You're correct of course. The results of the case are only
  justifiable because the law says so. Laws can be changed, but
  until then, it stands as it stands.

  But I agree with you. I would go so far to say that rights
  should not be age-based but power-based/authority-based ... and
  maybe even brain-scan based (as improvements to fMRI continue)
  but I dont' think we have the proper metrics for such a system
  yet. Perhaps far off into the future.
