Whenever there would be an "Extra Credit" question, I'd need
  more paper. They'd be annoyed because I'd spend more time on the
  essay than the actual quiz or test.

  Even though it reflected poorly on my grades sometimes, I didn't
  care. I 'needed' to 'get it out' somehow. Once inspired, I'm
  hard to stop.
