Yes. The whole point of education is to send you out into the
  world capable of independent thinking while also being good
  citizens. You have to have coping skills, to face what life
  throws at you and know how to respond. To do so, you have to
  weight things in your mind, on paper, on a computer, in
  discussions, wherever. And in order to do that, you can't just
  accept what you're told and spit it... back out. You have to be
  skeptical, to say, "Sounds good, BUT let's think about this for
  a minute."
