^Everyone deserves to be taken seriously. This does not mean you
need to take everything someone does or says seriously. That is
behavior and performance, not their essence. Instead, it means
this: "You are Important to Me. You. Matter.
Carry those words in your mind with each encounter you have with
each and every individual. Think them in my mind, whether the
person is on the Internet, someone you can see in front of you,
or someone on the phone.
Do so, and your life will be enriched beyond measure, all
without changing a single other thing, for you will see them as
