Heather that is *so true* - I first saw the show with one of my
  nieces, who is now 19 and *yes* I remember thinking the same
  thing. I was utterly fasctinated by the dog with the humungous
  cavity in its mouth. If you think back through the years, all of
  the really good cartoons have very flawed characters in them.
  That's part of their genius. I can't animate, voice act, write a
  storyboard, direct or have the money to produce. But I could
  have worked in cartoons just the same :) "
