*Starch and Fat*

  I was taking pot pies out of the oven and wondered, ''Why does
  pie taste so good?''

  Flour - Wheat (Starch) and Crisco / Lard (Fat)

  Buttered toast in the morning?

  Wheat (Starch) and Butter (Fat).

  French Fries?

  Potatoes (Starch) and Peanut Oil (Fat)

  All the good stuff.

  Starch and Fat - or more specifically..

  Carbs + Fat. :) (think: Cookies!)
