My solution to the Doorway dilemma by Kenneth Udut.

Walking through a doorway causes you to forget what you are
thinking about. This is a proven scientific fact.

Today, I accidentally tested that theory. I wanted to get my
library card from my room. So, I walked through the kitchen,
getting some coffee, and stopping in my living room and having a
conversation. After 20 minutes I got my coffee, Walk through the
kitchen, and back to the porch. As soon as I got back to the
  porch, I remembered!

I forget to get my library card!

The whole reason I went in there in the first place.

So, I repeated my steps. But I tested out a new theory I
formulated right at the moment of remembering what I forgot and
  it works.

I experienced the Doorway Dilemma first hand.

  Here's a solution:

As I go through each room, I will create an imaginary basket in
the doorway. Into that imaginary basket, I will place whatever
I'm thinking about: ideas, things I need to remember, Et cetera.

When I travel into the next room, I will pick up the items from
the basket, and place them into another imaginary basket, in the
next room. I will continue carrying my ideas with me, until I
reach the place where I need to make use of the idea. Whether it
is picking up my keys, getting a bite to eat, or whatever.

One of the things that originally excited me about Minecraft, is
that it gives me a chance to actualize a ''Roman room ''.

A Roman room is an ancient technique for memorizing things. You
use a familiar house, or familiar pathways that you walk, and
place everything there in your mind.

So, if you wanted to remember apples, you might place a basket
of apples in the floor of your grandmothers living room from
when you were a child. If that is your Roman room. Then, when
you need to remember something, you just mentally go through
that house, and notice what is there. You will see the apples,
and remember that you wanted to remember apples.

I already have a small and large version of my real house in
Minecraft, and now I will start to make my own Roman room based
on it: both in my mind, and in virtual reality

Augmented reality, is another possible way to actualize this
  idea in real life.
