^(Ah, the things one does to avoid dealing with 'da billz')
How often do you hear (or see, especially on Facebook): "I'm
bored"? Well, you see, I got curious in looking at this giant
list of emotions and saw "anticipation - eager, bored" - and I
never thought of boredom as anticipation before! So, off to
skim-read Wikipedia and I find out that a definition of boredom
by the "positive psychology" folks is:

"boredom is described as a response to a moderate challenge for
which the subject has more than enough skill."

I love that definition because it sounds like you're
OVERQUALIFIED to be doing what you're doing when you're bored.

So, next time, instead of saying, "I'm bored", you can say, "I'm
overqualified for being where I am and for what I'm doing right
  now."^
