I added a new photo to the album creative shots.in one list of
  causes for bubbles in the coolant overflow tank it had 2: BLOWN
  HEAD GASKET (everybodys 1st and only guess) or bad radiator cap.
  It said "check for rusty spring split rubber". Check and check.
  Is it the cause? Don't know. But its a cheap fix and it needs
  replacing anyhow (obviously - look at it).^
