^Just watched "Freakonomics" (no, I didn't read the book - shame
  on me) - nicely done - gives you an interesting perspective on
  why people do the things they do - Incentive is king. Shows how
  a good use of data can help you discover pretty incredible
  connections between things - IF you do it right. Cheating in
  Sumo wrestling, why crime went down in the 90's (you'll be
  surprised to find out why), will cash improve grades in high
  schoolers - all interesting stuff.^
