  immersed in a story of the past, you feel as if you were there.
  It is a form of time travel. Writers, on the other hand, Time
  Travel to the future - their work is always read AFTER they
  wrote it - even a hundred or a thousand years into the future.
  The drawback? The PAST doesn't know we were there, and the
  Writer doesn't get to see the FUTURE - the writer writes for a
  future he may or may not ever see. No feedback.^
