that's true -- in the end, 99% choose a side. Majority opinion
doesn't always mean its absolute truth, but it can. In the end,
you choose what works for you. I just know that media, for
example, LOVES to exaggerate things, especially numbers.
Example: I followed the Serbian war closely in the late 90s. I
heard the numbers of dead grow higher and higher and higher -
and the loudest were those ...saying 10,000, 100,000. But a few
years later, when a spanish investigation team actually counted
  - it was still a horrific number - something like 2300 massacred
  - but the numbers 10,000 or 100,000 is what stuck in people's
minds. Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) said it best, "There are
three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics". So I
take numbers with a grain of salt - but for accounts of history,
I'd say that what we hear is probably close ... "
