coolest thing, I think, is on Orkut and g+ I can enable a
  translator and talk to them in English, they see it in
  portuguese and visa versa. True cross-cultural, cross-lingual
  communication. The Universal Translator is coming soon and we'll
  be able to talk to anybody, anywhere in whatever language
  they're using. It might just be for typing and not talking but
  with the voice-to-text features getting better and better, it
  won't be long at all before it's a reality. "
