^This picture D. took standing tall, leaning back and looking
  straight up. He started walking left and right, frontwards and
  backwards, and I just kept watching his feet - kept expected a
  tree root to jump up, grab his foot and watch him and my camera
  go tumbling (I was ready to catch both if need be). After about
  2 long minutes of setting up the shot (and me hovering like a
  mother hen by him AND the camera) he froze perfectly still for
  30 seconds, took the shot, looked at it and he was proud.^
