^Heard in a movie yesterday about an israeli kid being
  persecuted by neighbors for making friends with a British
  soldier in 1947: His parents said to him, "You are the
  scapegoat, son. All their problems they pin on you. Get used to
  it son, it will not change." - yikes - thankfully the movie had
  a happy ending - that was just the darkest point. But how
  nonchalontly the parents were - it shows that they went through
  some hell themselves during WWII, and got used to it. i simply
  could not imagine.^
