We're surrounded by farms. They supply all the tomatoes and
  potatoes for McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, etc. Gargullio is
  one of the larger ones and we had a huge contract with them to
  trap raccoons there for a year 'til they decided to do it
  themselves. Anyway, _somebody_ has to grow the food we eat.
  Myself though? My jobs have _mostly_ been white collar. I've
  always worked in computers. I was a systems analyst (II) for a
  pharmaceutical company for a few years. But I never finished
  college. I just "breath computer", so I can do anything someone
  wants me to do on it. Living here in the woods is my "let's try
  something unexpected" bit. 14 years so far. I get to work from
  home and run a business. My brother and sister-in-law do most of
  the work now for it and i just make sure things run smoothly in
  the background. So, I'm still doing a "white job". I *did* do
  carpet cleaning once for a bit, and as a teenager, I was the
  custodian for my local church (which was 7 days a week 'cause it
  had a nursery school) - 5 years I did it before doing a little
  college. and I've ripped insulation out of hurricane destroyed
  homes for two months. That was rough: the glass gets everywhere
  in you and there was no electricity. It was supposed to pay well
  but we got ripped off of course. Still though, much prefer being
  behind this here computer - or any computer.
