Let's see, how can I explain my way out of this paper bag - my
  brain challenge for the moment: "You got it" does not create an
  exception (the rule being discovered): Rather, "You got it!" is
  an American expression meaning, "You understand the point I was
  making, the 'gist' of what I was attempting to express, and I
  appreciate feeling "heard" by somebody successfully when they
  rephrased my original statement in another way". There grin

  a game to me tongue emoticon Last night, I spent hours on and
  off with an, "educated racist" as he was trying to put me into
  logic traps, squirming around me pointing out a single sentence
  in his _whole_ five paragraph tome that I noticed was the
  foundation stone of his whole argument, hiding right in the
  middle of it as if it was a plain fact... and enjoyed the
  challenge. ==
