alas, can't depend on commercial systems to be the holders of
memories. I have a few repositories I trust somewhat like the
Internet Archive and my own sites that I can maintain and draw
from... external hard drive that I pray I never drop on my way
back and forth to the laptop... but one of my great hesitations
to become dependent upon cloud computing as anything but an
intermediary is precisely this: my memories. It's hard enough to
keep them intact with the tools I have. I suppose the Internet's
theft of memories is part of its beauty and charm but it is one
that I fight when I can.
