She never forced me into any role. When I was 11, her friends
  convinced her to put me in special piano lessons to go to
  Julliard music school. Kids are sent there to become
  professional musicians. I played along with it for about six
  months. One day, I realized it wouldn't be "the life for me". I
  knew that at 11 years old. I asked if I could stop taking the
  lessons. I thought she'd be upset, but she wasn't. She was
  relieved and agreed. Yes, while she's not perfect (nobody is!)
  she's been an awesome mother.
