It depends in this case on the definition. If you are speaking
hot/cold/tepid, these are relative terms, subjective of typical
human ranges of acceptable temperatures. As absolutes? No. Heat
as a measure of energy? Well, then it's definitional. Evolution
=/= heat however unless it is defined properly. When it is left
open and vague, it becomes a subjective issue. Heat (as measure
of energy) has a simple definition. Its simplicity and lack of
human subjective controversy (until we get down to the smaller
levels of scope - smaller being relative to what we're
accustomed to), affords it a more factual status generally
speaking. But for evolution to acquire such status? A lot of
internal and external debate has to settle down first. It does
not have the luxury of settling down just yet. It's close? Yes.
But not there yet, not until the hyperbole and excitement die
down. == So heat is not entirely equivalent to evolution nor
evolution entirely equivalent to heat. Science is social -
something you mustn't forget. It is always social.
