  It was. But at the time, having a mortgage counted as an ASSET
  rather than a LIABILITY thanks to Ronald Reagan, who effects
  still linger to this day... ...and so, i kinda got fucked. They
  got rid of that a few years later, but I didn't care by then and
  took 10 years to pay off 1.5 yrs of loans. Meh. == But yeah, the
  whole system's a racket. University systems' a joke now. We got
  interwebz. Lack of recognition? Yeah. But the knowledge is
  available that used to be locked up. Still waiting for the whole
  academic system to just explode and go away. ==
