actually, he has a HUGE fanbase among young people on the
Internet. You're right about white but they're not uneducated
and likely not poor either. Not religious either or necessarily
for guns. but what they are is online h8rs. They LOVE Trump. He
_is_ a super-hero to them. = Angry young men who are budding
misogynists, uses phrases like SJW frequently holding perverse
ideas about women that they believe "all men secretly believe"
but really they're just little pervs. Its southern US. It's
northern US. It's in other countries. They're often atheist and
proud of it. Love arguing about logical fallacies and
complaining about the "downfall of education and the rise of
safe spaces." The thing is (and I come across them frequently
online) they're intelligent. Very intelligent. Too intelligent
for their own good. == So, I don't have a name to give you for
this stereotype but they're definitely a subset (or perhaps the
whole set) of a stereotype known as "neckbeard". == So, I hope
that's enough information to help you update your records. I
study Internet culture more than the broader culture - been
doing it since '89 when I first got on and noticed patterns....
and when I see a new subculture forming, my ears and eyes perk
up and I watch to see what happens with them. == Yes I'm
familiar with this view. Yes, rape culture. What annoys me about
them is: a) most of their supporters are "me-toos" who would
never rape and are likely more belonging to MGTOW (look it up if
you haven't seen them yet) than rape groups. b) They're
basically terrorists of the old school variety: Spreading terror
without actually hurting anybody physical nor would they ever.
Fear is the weapon and they wield it well. Yet, some are genuine
sociopaths who *would* do dangerous things and so, the few
sociopaths give them a sense of legitimacy and power. == awesome
  - thank you. Yeah, I'm 44 and a product of what's now called
nurturance culture. Raised with 80s self-esteem, be yourself
lessons, and at the time, men's right was of the 'mythopoetic
variety" - men sitting around campfires in loin cloths
reclaiming their boyhoods by singing and beating bongos. I could
never join it but I though it looked like fun. = Yeah. It used
to be hidden in locker rooms of police departments and
firehouses, men at bars grumbling about child support payments
but it's entering a mainstream acceptability via the Internet
Now they have a voice and feel as if they can "break free of
female dominance and their oppressive regime." Stuff like that.
Worst part is, they believe it. They REALLY truly believe it. ==
I think the issue stems from a victim/oppressor narrative
primarily. Once somebody sees themselves as a victim, they're
free to say anything about their perceived oppressor. The
alternative is individualism, avoiding stereotyping people and
when you do, qualify it properly when challenged (as it should
be). Peace is brought through diplomacy and acceptance rather
than victim and oppressed. Criminals are criminals but everybody
else generally does not want to harm another, no matter how
bombastic their opinions are. But it's a tough point to get
across. I feel like I belong in the late 60s/early 70s
sometimes, talking "hippie talk". Learning tolerance is a lot of
  self-work. ==
