My favorite one for a cold I tripped over by experimenting: Raw
clove of garlic followed by some kind of source of vitamin C. It
can be tomato, orange juice, VitC chewable, ,whatever. I was
experimenting in "food opposites" and VitC got rid of the garlic
burn [which I happen to like but 'its for science!" but I ALSO
noticed my little cold seemed to go away. Had a few people tried
it. Had similar effects to Zinc (which makes sense, 'cause Zinc
and VitC use similar molecular areas). You get the symptoms but
they're lighter and faster. It's like fast-forward on the cold
and you can hardly notice it. I don't get colds very often at
all. But I take Zinc a few times a week, just regular dosage.
But anyway, the raw garlic + vitC works. There's something about
that enzyme that gets released JUST as you bite into a fresh
clove that's not present in preserved garlic.
