Agreed. I frequently subject my heroes (once I have identified
  them as "my heroes" to the same kind of criticism I would
  subject someone whose opinions I disagree with. I see what holds
  up and what falls apart. Carl Sagan was the hardest for me. But
  I found a few flaws that were disappointing and I was
  disappointed. Oddly enough, that made me happy as well.
