You know, in _all these years_, I have yet to see *any* of the
  Planet of the Apes series. I loved 2001 and when I saw that
  Planet of the Apes was coming on TV, I just figured it was an
  alternate reality where the ape that threw up the bone started a
  higher evolved strain which became stronger and more powerful
  than the human mammals and that that's what the planet of the
  apes must be about, so I was satisfied.
