I think different families have different needs. Public
education is not a perfect system yet they do their best. That
being said, I don't know which way is ultimately better. There's
good points for consistent public education. It establishes
norms for the upcoming generation. With a common education,
cooperation should theoretically be easier as they progress to
careers and lives. At the same time, there's plenty of room for
differences and I believe an enriched future means that a
variety of perspective should be represented in our society.
Florida law takes that into account very well I think, and has
statutes

allowing for homeschooling. There are standards that need to be
met. These standards should be enough to maintain enough
NECESSARY consistency for education while also allowing for
diverse educations in areas that might not require consistency.
So, I don't know which way is better for everybody but I'm glad
the flexibility exists in the law so you have a choice.
