Most art, old and new, sucks. Unless I made it or someone I know
did. Then I like it. There's a few exceptions but generally,
it's just not my thing. == I do. I believe in local artists. I'm
a _huge_ fan of creativity. The process. Knowing it means
something to someone that they've made it and that it expresses
themselves. But propped up like a dead butterfly on a
biologist's corkboard in a room with white walls? Eh, not my
thing. I like museums and the thing people make and appreciate
it all for what it is and what it means - but generally, I like
knowing the people or at least knowing of them. You know what my
favorite art is? Sometimes I'll make vines of it: The stuff that
the kids make that gets put up in the local library. That being
said, I wouldn't mind working at a museum. Surrounded by it, I'd
probably appreciate the heck out of it, talk about each of the
pieces in great detail. THEN I'd have a huge interest in it. ==
