Agreed. So much can be faulted: The either/or-ness.
  Valid/invalid? What's a potato? Same in every context?
  Everything? Which everything? etc. The either/or thing usually
  gets me the most. Actually, that's not true: What gets me the
  most is that most of these are thought experiments. An easy to
  forget thing about thought experiments: They're fiction.
