This dude. Gregory Palamas. While I'm not part of it now
  (agnostic) , he had a lot to say about Theosis / Deification -
  something that Western Christiandom just doesn't really deal
  with (and it's what attracted me to Eastern Orthodoxy when I was
  into it 'bout 20 years ago O_O ) Anyway, lots of good practical
  psychology in there, whether or not you go for the Theosis angle
  and it was useful to me. So I'd happily hang out with him for a
  bit. I mean, not looking like this but when he was a monk 'n
  stuff. == or his teacher Nicodemus. Either one but I think it's
  is one of those "Student surpasses the teacher" situations, at
  least in how-to-explain stuff.
