Not necessarily. Interesting but I think you're going too broad.
You can have multiple levels. == I think of mirrors pointing at
themselves. That analogy works for me. == I drew something a kid
trying to describe "what it felt like to be me" and it was a
bunch of mirrors pointing back towards the middle, with a little
input and a lot of inner bouncing. Always been fascinated by
that stuff. Updated it a few years ago in attempting to describe
the experience of time/memory/experience as driving a car
backwards but believing it is forwards because of the mirror
facing backwards that doesn't show your face, then being
surprise when something comes crashing from in front of you,
that you thought was behind you. == Similar for me. It's
extraordinary but any beyond-ness is up to interpretation for
now. I don't have a problem with someone believing something
extra-extraordinary about consciousness generally - I have my
own myriad of thoughts in that regard - but convincing me to
stick to a singular interpretation only isn't going to be easy.
I'm stubborn in my "I don't know" ness. == Many patterns appear
to be self-referential and likely are. Feed-forward and
feed-back systems, hysteresis, lasers, gravity... sometimes the
source is long muddled and all we have is the effects supporting
each other in their growth with little left-over to ascertain a
  precise cause. ==
