I wish I'd learned it in school properly. The way they taught it
was: "Look how stupid we were 'til this guy came along" And even
then I remember thinking, "What's so stupid about it?" I mean
switching to the new model is great for its purposes and it led
to fantastic findings about gravity... but still, seems valuable
to know...." But I never liked elitism in science classes. "We
were stupid before but now we're smart". That always got me
annoyed because I KNOW 100 years from now, a lot of what we
think we know about the world will be refined, many things
overturned completely, and they'll look at US and go, "Oh what
idiots they were in 2021"... or whatever year this is tongue
  emoticon .
