It's become a niche but the niche has been growing tremendously.
  I think between DJs wanting authenticity and... yes, rap artists
  as well wanting authenticity, the old presses were snapped up
  and put back into production. I think it's a great thing that's
  growing and all of the people who held onto their collections
  are grateful for it now.   === For me, I'm fantastically
  grateful that computers are FINALLY powerful enough to handle
  sound editing. That Vine for example was a simple matter of
  opening up audacity after downloading an MP3 from a site of old
  Victrola recordings, and then taking the tiniest time slice and
  making a digital sounding - vacuous "skipping" effect by copying
  and pasting. So for me, it's perfect. But it's just toying
  around. Suits my purposes but for authenticity, there's no
  beating the real thing.   ==
