*True - ms paint vs Michelangelo, I'd give it to the big M and I
don't mean Microsoft :P I can transfer it to another computer:
that's my plan. But it's too big to upload anywhere else
realistically (96G) so it'd have to be local.. and I'd rather
have it local tbh. Just haven't gotten another computer for it.
I'd want a dedicated one. Bandwidth is part of it too, although
it wasn't too much of a problem. I'm still on ancient DSL but
they don't put any caps or limitations on bandwidth and they
didn't care if people run servers... I don't think. At least, I
never got in trouble for it :P But my laptop was having a LOT of
trouble rebooting - it still does. The server I think actually
etched my HD somewhat.. bad sectors here and there. it's what
caused some worlds to have missing chunks in them: There were
actually bad sectors on my HD which resulted in missing chunks
in Minecraft. Still blows my mind 'cause you can SEE the bad
sectors by chunks that could never regenerate right in the game.
I'd say it's speculation but a lot of the bad sectors were in
  Region files. I could hear my HD going k-ch, k-ch, k-ch, k-ch,
k-ch whenever someone would try to walk or fly over those area
too. So to lengthen the life of this laptop I had to stop
running it. It's not that another computer's expensive, just
expensive for me at the moment. I'd want one with plenty of
memory when I do it again, and I'll probably run other servers
at the same time, like Minecraft PE servers, maybe host a few
  other games.
