I can agree to everything in principle at least until your
explanation as to the source of religion. Religion is rooted in
the human brain. Need for ideology. Something greater. Some
driving force that they can count on and trust. For some it's a
religious God. For some it's Logic. For some it's a few favorite
authors. Whatever. Activates same areas of the brain. Then some
people take advantage of that for their own purposes. I see that
not only among religions, but also politicians, motivational
speakers, authors, used car salesmen, and convincers from all
walks of life. Religion's nothing special to me. It's part of a
family of other things utilizing the same social and cognitive
systems.
