Easiest way to deal with that is get them out of your head. Put
  them on paper. Write about them online. Talk to someone. Paint
  something. Make a song. Get it out of your head, then you can
  see it/hear it externally, then reincorporate it. It's like
  cleaning a messy room. Easiest way is to put everything into a
  BIGGER ROOM with more space, sort it there, then put back what's
  important. That's the conclusion I came up with after years of
  trying to figure this stuff out anyway. I have no idea if it
  works for everybody else but it seems to work for me. smile
