Indeed. And learning to read one's own emotional states as they
  occur is a very powerful tool for their best usage. Noticing
  their physical effects is VERY useful. For example: That little
  knot that suddenly appears in the stomach seemingly out of
  nowhere is, to me, the conclusion of an algorithm that's been
  processing in the background. Stomach wrench, a feeling of
  dread. "No heart attack? Ok What is it?" Hungry? Thirsty? No. Oh
  yes, I was supposed to pay that fucking bill. Ok, got it. Whole
  process takes less than 6 seconds, sometimes shorter. Works
  well.
