thanks for going through it for me. much as i suspected. [i'd
  considered it on and off through the years]. now I don't have to
  go through it. I figured it'd be a frustrating experience for
  me, and in a few short sentences, you've just confirmed my
  suspicions. == I took a few child psych courses in college. A
  few years later, in the 'working world', temping, I did some fun
  courses in elementary education. MAJOR difference though.
  Elementary education was "Grade 13"... nothing new in there. The
  child psych stuff was far more useful. == Unfortunately, I'm not
  surprised. When i read up on some of the "education psychology"
  (wtf is that? It's just as weird as it sounds - why would there
  be a psychology for education?) behind Common Core when it was
  being released, I was REALLY bothered and wrote a lot about it.
  Now it's falling apart. I'm *so* very grateful. ==
