I had an Intellivision, so I didn't get the cool games, although
Astrosmash, hockey and horse racing were REALLY good. Once I got
my Tandy Color Computer 2 though and a manual in programming in
BASIC, it was all over smile emoticon == Never could figure out
their "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" game enough to beat it. Got
far but with no Internet and crap books at the library, not much
I could do in 1984. But in 1989, I became a beta tester for
PC-Link's Neverwinter Nights which was online, so that's when
D&D made more sense. Oddly enough though, I never played board
game D&D. I know it culturally and played computer games
similar/based on, but never the original, even though most of my
friends did. I saw them get sucked into hours and hours of
gaming and I wanted to get back to my computer tongue emoticon
