I went there today as well. Worth it? Yes. Matches up to the
  quality of the originals. I honestly never expected the
  originals to be in their roles ever again and hardly expected to
  get such a treat of so much Han Solo + Chewy time. I also felt
  engaged with the new characters. I *WANT* to know what happens
  with Rey. I WANT to know what happens with Kylo Ren. I WANT to
  know what happens with Finn. I *care* about the new cast.
  EXCELLENTLY done and yes, even still, it can stand alone. Star
  Wars always had that "I've just been dropped in the middle of
  something that's been going on a long time" feeling and this
  captures it perfectly.
