Oh I didn't say it's no better than others. Not at all:
  *
What I'm saying is, in a TRULY absolute sense, they're not
  foundations.
  *
HOWEVER, from a pragmatic/practical point of view, they can be
  considered, "as-if" foundational.
  *
In short: They work very well.
  *
But it is akin to the difference between 0.0000000001 and 0:
  *
We can treat them 'as if' the same, but they're still not. This
doesn't invalidate them; what's to invalidate? But it leaves
room open for future changes to the systems, to prevent them
  from becoming fully absolute dogma.

  ====
unrelated: Videography and music is fantastic. The colors just
"pop". As I watch these things, I usually imagine the film crews
on boats, helicopters - a big mess behind the camera. But then I
saw the insect. I had to stop and comment. All my resistance to
being caught up in beautiful imagery and music just fell away
right there and I let myself absorb the whole thing,
back-erasing the earlier skepticism of tourism films. Yes, this
is stunning and very well done!
