Well, consider it this way: I think it's a very respectful
  tribute to the original. Yes, it's for a different audience -
  but it may lead people _back_ to the original who otherwise
  might not have ever heard it before and it strikes me that they
  took the making of this cover with all the respect the original
  deserves. It doesn't replace the original - nothing can - but I
  guess having been exposed to remixes and covers regularly for a
  long time now, I judge the quality of remixes based on how
  respectfully they treat the original by giving it as much
  quality as is possible within the genre they're working within.
  In the genre he's in, as a ballad form, it's as good as is
  possible. I mean it's not in the original genre, yet it
  translates well. Anyway, just my opinion here smile emoticon
