[1]t Doesn't matter if it's illusion or real. It might as well
  exist because we can't control it perfectly via external means.
  Maybe someday but for now, it's better to consider free will and
  consciousness existing. If we don't and the courts agree (which
  they're starting to in Italy), we're going to end up with a shit
  society saying, "Oh, not my fault. My consciousness is an
  illusion and it's determined by [whatever]". Better to keep
  people responsible for now. THIS is facing reality.
